IMG_0466West Reading Community Revitalization Foundation dedicated three new murals into the Cherry Street Corridor of Murals. The ceremony was held to commemorate the new murals and recognize the local artist who created them.

The first mural labeled “Clique” was painted by students of the Public Art Workshop from Wyomissing High School. The mural spans all three sides of the former A-Z Vacuum store facing Cherry Street.

The second mural named “Sea Spirit” was created by artist Alan Cernak. Added to the building at 536 Cherry Street, inspiration of the mural comes from the original work of art that was commissioned by Hideyoshi Toyotomi around 1600.

Each mural is a work of art and a commitment to making West Reading a beautiful place. This wont be the last dedication, we have heard West Reading is planning to unveil a few more murals along Cherry Street very soon.
