It’s a pretty well know fact. Kids love to ride their bikes, but not too many of them think about a career in cycling. To change that Dave Kline, Executive Director of Pretzel City Productions, organizer of The Reading 120 hosted a one of a kind training session for local youth athletes interested in the sport of cycle racing.

Professional cyclists and parents alike descended on Riverfront Drive near the Buttonwood Street Bridge for a night of education and fun. After a few tips from Pro Cyclist Dakota Schaeffer the group of kids lined up to race down the street. Pedaling as hard as they could, the group of youth cyclists were able to complete the 1/2 mile course in record time.

The night ended with finishers medals and water bottles given to all participants. The Reading 120 will be held on September 10th, 2016 at City Park. The youth race portion will be held from 11:30am to 12:30pm. www.reading120.com
