Mangia! in Mohnton offers unique table-side cheese wheel pasta experience

Like Mamma says, “Mangia!”. Serving the same traditional recipes for more than 30 years, Mangia! Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria in Mohnton is the only restaurant in the world to offer two different cheese wheel pasta dishes table-side.

The Folino name is well known in Berks County for wines and Italian food. Joe Folino continues the family tradition by serving homemade Italian specialties. Although Mangia! offers a wide menu of classic Italian cuisine from Fettuccine Alfredo, Gnocchi and Rigatoni Campagnolo, the Mangia! is known for their wood-fired pizza and table-side menu.

Baked at high temperature, the wood-fired oven at Mangia! cooks the signature hand tossed pizzas to perfection in mere minutes. Every bite is filled with flavor from the crispy crust to textured cheese and toppings.

For those looking for a truly one-of-a-kind experience, Mangia! offers several table-side cooking options, prepared by chef Joe Folino.

Guests can choose from the Pasta al Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese Wheel, made with Linguine pasta tossed in parmigiano reggiano cheese wheel, flamed grappa with tomato cream sauce.

In the mood for something traditional? Try the Roman pasta dish spaghetti Cacio e Pepe. Pasta tossed in pecorino romano cheese wheel, flamed grappa and course black pepper.

That’s not all, Mangia! offers Banana Flambe table-side dessert, made with fresh banana flamed with Grand Marnier and served over vanilla ice cream.

With so much wonderful food to try at Mangia!, we made a special extended cut video to showcase both pasta cheese wheels. Enjoy!
