Runners Brave Chilly weather for 2nd annual Boyertown Turkey Trot 5k

It was a brisk 35 degrees in Boyertown Community Park as 400+ runners took to the streets for the Wellness Council of Boyertown’s 2nd Annual 5k Turkey Trot.

The 5k and 1 mile fun run is held in the memory of Cliff Reigner founding committee fundraiser for the Boyertown High School Track- Victory Mile.

Proceeds from the race help fund various programs the Wellness Council of Boyertown produces throughout the year as well as supporting community healthy lifestyle choices. “This is the largest race we’ve had” said Jeff Shontz, Council of Boyertown President.

Despite the cold weather the first two men and women across the finish line were Bryton Henry with a time of 16:44.3 and Lucie Bergeyova with a time of 21:20.4. Results of the race can be found at alphaandomegasports.com/results.
