Local Haunted House Documentary to Premiere in Reading

A new documentary featuring local Halloween enthusiast Branden Moyer will soon premiere on the big screen in Reading. The documentary follows the Kenhorst resident on his quest to build a professional haunted attraction in the middle of the Kenhost Shopping Plaza. Moyer, known for his backyard haunted house, Cornstalkers, went back to the drawing board in 2018 to develop a new haunted attraction, which he titled: Moonlight Massacre.

With thousands of guests visiting his backyard, Moyer teamed up with Retro Fitness of Kenhorst to take his hobby to a new level. Building a massive 4,000 square foot haunted attraction in the middle of the busy shopping plaza wasn’t easy for Moyer, the process took over 5 months from blueprints to completion.

A ‘big screen premiere’ of the documentary is scheduled for June 28th. The screening will be be held at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in Reading, Pennsylvania. The local premiere includes a photo opp with the haunt actors from 6-7pm, screening of the film at 7pm, and filmmaker/ actor meet and greet after the showing.
